    The Cabinet Office document appeared to go further than the [recent Strategic Defence Review](https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/britain-must-ready-itself-for-war-strategic-defence-review-to-say-3688107?srsltid=AfmBOooeKcsiN5TKlaX7vvSqye0QXcMIbHhBSzrhnALSN-g-uwm5MiIs&ico=in-line_link) in warning of a “direct threat” against the UK.

    It said countries like Russia and Iran are already carrying out [cyber attacks](https://inews.co.uk/topic/cyber-attacks?srsltid=AfmBOoo1j4YOh_jfUZufiqZyGygYVh8HFwPmPTK3ZEGOZE8VQp7xfGty&ico=in-line_link), sabotage and directly threatening the UK.

    But it warned that “some” enemies are “laying the foundations for future conflict” and putting themselves in a position “to cause major disruption to our energy and or supply chains, to deter us from standing up to their aggression”.

    “For the first time in many years, we have to actively prepare for the possibility of the UK homeland coming under direct threat, potentially in a wartime scenario,” the strategy said.

    At the same time, “the threat to the UK and our allies from nuclear weapons is once again growing”, the strategy published on Tuesday said.

    “Tackling this challenge is likely to be more complex than it was even in the Cold War, with more states with more nuclear weapons, the further proliferation of nuclear and disruptive technology, and the failure of international arms control arrangements to keep pace,” the strategy said.

  2. Hilarious. The police are hemorrhaging officers at a rate never seen before…and it’s not just new officers, it’s now all the experienced ones as well. Just who are they going to get to protect all this?? The armed forces are in a perilous state with a record number leaving last year.

    They are literally living in cloud cuckoo land. The public and society are completely fractured thanks to mass immigration and no integration and no border security.

    They can publish what they want, it’s all fantasy when it comes to actually preventing all this. They couldn’t even protect Brize Norton which had a 6ft wooden fence to easily get through 😂

  4. If we get to the point that there are enemy forces in numbers on the mainland we’ve lost.

    The strength of the nation lies in us being an island, any infiltration force will be seen and engaged before it’s within landing range, failure to neutralise at that point is effectively endgame.

    Are we to assume our NATO allies just sit back and watch England get invaded or in this scenario has the continent already fallen and we’re the last island standing?

    Now… assuming all that has happened and mainland Europe has fallen.. what the actual fuck do they think we are going to do if all the European powers have been defeated already???

    Or perhaps it’s the other way around and the USA is invading Europe and England is first on their list… what the fuck would our tiny Island do to fight the war machine that is the USA?? Or China??

    We’re a tiny island with a tiny army.. we have a nuclear arsenal I suppose we could destroy something with it and ruin the planet at the same time??

  12. The UK imported tends of thousands of men who refuse to integrate into society and are aligned with terrorist groups from the middle east.

  13. Invading is easy. Resupply is difficult because of the channel. It’s effectively a long supply line.

    The home defence plan, for over 100 years, has been to attrit the invaders until they collapse or withdraw.

    Who are we anticipating though? I have no idea.
