  1. More information about the bordes Scene can be found here

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bordes_scene

    >The bordes scene (Dutch: bordesscène) is a photo moment at the end of a Dutch cabinet formation, immediately after the swearing-in, where the new Dutch cabinet presents itself. The photo shows the king or queen and the ministers. Although the name refers to the bordes, the photo takes place in front of or on the stairs leading to the bordes.

Also, apologies for the typo in the title

Edit: roles of the people in the scene, from left to right

    >Representative of Korea, PM New Zealand, PM Sweden, PM Albania, PM Hungary, German chancellor, PM Spain, PM Bulgaria, PM Estonia, Vice PM Australia

    >PM Iceland, PM Luxembourg, PM Denmark, PM Netherlands, PM Canada, PM Italy, PM Britain, PM Belgium, PM Norway, PM Greece

    >President of the European Council, President Finland, President Montenegro, President Romania, NATO secretary general, President North Macedonia, President Ukraine, President EU commission, PM Portugal

    >President Lithuania, President Slovakia, President Türkiye, President US, Dutch monarch and his wife, President France, President Czechia, President Poland, President Latvia

    >NATO countries that are missing: Slovenia and Croatia

  2. Great shot, good to see Zelensky where he belongs, though who on earth is the 7’ giant in the white suit, back row? 😳

  3. So Trump is at most a couple of inches taller than Macron? Never knew

  4. While some questionable characters among this group – it’s quite the historic photo.

  5. Trump looks like he really aged a lot in the last few months.

  6. Fun fact. Donald Trump and Dutch King Willem-Alexander (in this photo, next to Trump) claim to be the same height (190 cm / 6ft3).

One of these men might be lying.

Edit: correction, some sources claim that Willem-Alexander is 190 cm tall, but the correct number is supposedly 183 cm. Make of that what you will.

  7. When you’ve found Merz be sure he is not Luc Frieden…or vice versa. Maan, they kinda look simillar.

  8. Russian asset bottom row, fourth from the left.

  9. Why is our PM Mitsotakis always looking happy like he’s on a field trip?

  10. Fun fact: Trump is 191 cm (6’3) and the Dutch King (middle) is 183 cm (6’0) as one can clearly see in this picture

  11. I recognize a lot of the faces, but would be nice if somebody with more knowledge could put down all names + function.

  12. putin will be furious Zelensky is standing there too ,so he is considered one of the NATO leaders

“all the NATO leaders for photo session”

Why don’t we send an enlarged photo frame to the Kremlin?

  13. The contrast in style between Trump and Macron couldn’t be bigger. And the queen, just wow.

On a serious note, very happy to see Zelenskyy here.

  14. Orbán only, oh hell on a group photo, of a cooperative something. Makes my head hurt.

  15. A lot of tall people over 6’3 on that front row. The one on the far right must be 7’6

  16. Is it just me or does Queen Máxima indeed look very regal. Love the colour.

  17. Why’s the orange man not orange, and why does he wear Kim Jong Un pants? So many questions…

  18. Fun fact on the bordes scene etiquette: The king/queen is normally by himself in the middle (guess we count them as one here), and if we follow etiquette that would make Trump the prime minister of the summit, with Macron being his deputy PM! Guess they couldn’t put Trump not beside the king and wanted to put Macron in the spotlight as a statement, or its just my tinfoil hat speaking and its actually just a bit random.

  19. Imagine how much time Macron spent in front of mirrors to perfect that pose, to get the “wind in the suit” effect and the eyebrows just right. It is rumored up to 2% of our GDP went into that glorious endeavor. But look at him. Look how happy he is !

  20. Strange that after all the shit that has happened recently this picture is taken at a moment that might lead into the strongest NATO since the cold war.

  21. Yet another reminder that we need go develop a new form of professional clothing for men. Look at the contrast with that dress ong

  22. Kinda makes you wish we could normalize wearing flavorful suits as men. Looking at the awesome colors and cuts of the female leaders os making me jealous

  23. The king is 1.83 (6.0”) the queen is 1.78. (5.8″)
It’s amazing to me that Trump still swears he is 6.3″ while being the same size as the queen.

Probably a good idea that they put Rutte behind them instead of next to them.

  24. Suddenly the orange man looks smaller between king and sultan!

  25. So glad to see a sane president of Romania there, smiling and looking optimistic.

Who is the lady in the fancy dress?

  26. Nicusor Dan looks so friendly! No idea of his politics but he looks very likeable. Hope he does a good job 🙂

  27. Who is the giant in the back row, beige suit?

By contrast, Trump looks short and very meh.

  28. Trump’s suits always look awful, and make him look like he bought a cheap suit at K&G.

  29. Donald Trump is “officially” 190cm tall, but look at the fellas either side of him and you tell me who he looks closer in height to.

  30. Is Trump wearing a Royal Blue suit? That would be offensive and… typically him.

  31. I hope they took more pictures and they will stitch them together, we’ve got 2 leaders with their eyes closed lol
