let’s move to Jerusalem next we’ll go to Noat Tonopolski no great to talk to you this evening where do things stand right now in terms of the conflict are the objectives met as far as the Israeli government is concerned what are you hearing good to see you Gavin well as usual as we have come to be accustomed the Israeli authorities are speaking with two voices so it remains quite unclear what we’re hearing from the political class in Israel is absolute euphoria euphoria at having succeeded in bringing the massive the powerful United States into this war and euphoria at what appears to be a successful and ongoing successful military operation against uh the nuclear threat from Iran basically almost sounding like you know we won that said uh Prime Minister Netanyahu’s national security adviser Safia Negby speaking today implied that Israel would now just change direction um and instead of focusing on the nuclear installations was going to focus more widely on for example the Iranian ability to rebuild its uh ballistic missile stocks which Israel understands Iran can do quite quickly and quite well and other military infrastructure here we’re beginning to see a bit of a gap between the Israeli leading leadership class and the Americans who very clearly have said this is not regime change the Americans have said and they do not plan to continue with the fighting this is done and dusted basically said Marco Rubio said that if the Iran does not retaliate this is over israel is not quite saying that meanwhile on the military side of things there is a lot more caution the Israeli military um have said to Israeli outlets and to the New York Times that they believe that the installation the facility in Foro was severely damaged but not destroyed they also repeating what we’ve heard from Iranian sources say that they believe that Iran was able to transfer significant material including enriched uranium from Fordaux in recent days to unknown unknown locations and if the military is true the political leadership in this country may be in quite a pickle because what it promised the Israeli people is an end to the nuclear threat from Iran and also promised that if the United States got involved this war would be over quickly so things still are hanging in the balance

The Israeli military said its fighter jets had struck “dozens” of targets across Iran on Sunday, including a long-range missile site in Yazd in the centre of the country for the first time. This changed from previous strikes, which had been aimed at military and nuclear targets. This higlights what FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Jerusalem Noga Tarnopolsky sees as the ‘authorities speaking with two vocies’ : the joy of a successful operation, but an effort to change the war’s objectives.

  4. Vance said, the US is not at war with Iran, the US is at war with Iran's nuclear program. I suggest Iran say the same and start fighting with the US nuclear program, the only country in the world that has used nuclear weapons against civilians twice
