  1. >On his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, O’Brien spoke briefly about politics with his guest, actor Diego Luna, defedning immigrants and criticizing the administration for trying to deport anyone undocumented.

    >“I have empathy,” O’Brien said on Monday. “Because if you’re paying attention, you understand that it feels like 80 percent of what’s getting done here to sustain our lives and our culture and our community is coming from south of the border.”

    >“They’re doing all the work,” he added.

    >O’Brien emphasized the importance of immigrants by using examples from his own life.

    >“Everybody I work with, everybody who works with me, everybody who helps me in any way or helps my family in any way with everything that needs to be done – in every way, every day, I am working with people who are from Mexico or Central America or South America,” O’Brien said.

    >“They are the community in Los Angeles,” he added.

  2. There’s nothing more American than coming here to start a new life and work hard for your children. That’s how most of the people in this country’s ancestors came, before bigots and protectionists closed off the immigration system and locked it down so it takes egregious time and money to immigrate legally.

We should make it much easier. Put in a fast lane for folks who can pass background checks and show gainful employment. These people enrich our country, not diminish it.

  3. Yeah they are doing all the work but Trump feels like unemployed Americans should be doing the work…. In his mind he’s creating jobs. 🙄

  4. Conan O’Brien like most liberals don’t understand all the immigrant that are doing the work are here on visas, they are not illegals. Plus let me explain why illegals are bad for the US and for then as well, if a illegal is raped, robbed unpaid who do they go to, if they go to the police they will be deported, so best they leave on their own power.

  5. It’s depressing to watch leaders who have never worked more than a phone and a laptop in their lives, clamping down on people who work 100x harder than they do. Many of the immigrants are busting their assess and paying their taxes which is not the case for most republicans and their fat assess.

  6. I’m noticing a lot of people shorthanding “illegal immigration” to “immigration”, then using the shorthand to drive an argument.

That’s like having a debate about drunk driving, and someone shortening it to just driving and being like “well so many people rely on driving to get their kids to school. I can’t believe people are against driving!”

  7. We are currently training AI to do our white collar jobs, so that we can be sent out to the fields to replace the field workers. Soon the social caste really may be: Oligarchs… the families of great wealth… Robots… everyone else.

  8. As a Mexican, this makes me love Conan even more. He rarely talks politics and I’m really glad he spoke up about it.

  9. Dude, this is great, but anyone able to get past the ads?? Ffs…

  10. No they aren’t. I’m so sick of hearing that.

  11. Why don’t they arrest the employers that hire these immigrants?

  12. He knows they doing all the work and his goal is to cripple Californias economy.

  13. Erm, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure a lot of the anti-immigrant sentiment is rooted in them “taking the jobs”…

Don’t know if this rhetoric is gonna really help there Conan.
