  14. I mean, if someone can convince Trump that he will be legendary if he helps dismantle the Iran-Russia-NK axis it can be a net benefit for humanity and he can take credit for it.

    I do believe that the gears have been turning on this far longer than Trump’s been relevant though. Russia and Iran messing around started with ISIS and the syrian civil war, I do think that we’re really seeing the ripple effects of a lot of that and the west is coming out on top in some ways.

    Iran has lost its proxy power and is humiliated by Israel
    Russia has lost Syria and is stuck in a quagmire in Ukraine, worse than something like Iraq or Vietnam or Afghanistan, not to mention Iran is not in a position to support anymore

    The west has also continually reduced their reliance on (esp foreign) oil and gas which takes the wind out of Iran/Russia’s sails.

    I’m not trying to imply there is some master plan here, or that anyone is really at the controls guiding this to a satisfying end, but that there are bigger arcs of history in play, bigger than MAGA and Obama and the rapid-fire cultural and political movements we’ve seen. I think the information war is especially dangerous, because if everyone had the same understanding of the world they would likely more easily pick the side which maintains western civilization, prosperity and peace.
