  1. Tell me you’re running out of weapons without telling me you’re running out of weapons. And I can’t tell if this reflects more poorly on the Russian army or navy?

  2. The thing is, they’ll never stop those Imperial Walkers. It was almost, like, why bother?

  3. You dont need naval guns if you dont have a navy. Because of undeclared war with country without navy. And yet you believe you are winning. Good.

  4. If it goes boom it’s good if it makes a bigger boom than it’s better

  5. “The system is remotely operated via the OPU-1 optical sighting unit, typically used for targeting naval mines and small surface threats. It is presumed that the same remote operation method is used when the weapon is deployed in fixed ground positions”
Now that NGL sounds super useful in modern battlefield

  6. Sensible move, tbh. The ~~Black~~ Azov Sea fleet has mainly served as a punchbag for the Ukrainians this last couple of years, so the Russians might as well get some actual use out of the weapons.

  7. A turret in a fixed position with the amount of drones flying about is not a sound idea

  8. As much as we make fun of Russia for doing this it makes sense. Their navy doesn’t matter anyway.

  9. I mean, they will probably do more this way than the rest of the Russian navy assets (on the floor of the black sea)

  10. I just visited one of these installations in San Diego, nice WW2 relic.

  11. Misleading title. The way it’s written implies their being used as artillery. Theyre not, they’re anti aircraft guns.

  12. Didn’t France try this once? I wonder how it worked out for them?
