  1. Honestly, I prefer trains tagged with art. It’s more original than seeing the same red and white all the time.

  2. I find it so shameful and annoying that so many trains are painted in Belgium. We have to respect and care for public transport, not vandalise it. I go by train everyday to work and every second train is vandalised in some way. I still love trains and respect SNCB, but it is really shameful.

  3. No. This is just vandalism . From the inside it is really ugly. You can’t see outside . So you don’t know where u are . Especially for people who don’t take the train too often.

  4. That does look like a funky engine, some of graffiti artists have real talent. Others not so much.

  5. As long as they leave the windows and the technical info at the bottom, I don’t mind (so, complete opposite of the pic).

  6. This tag is pretty cool but there is one big problem. I am working in the train and when all the windows are tagged it become very dangerous because a lot of tracks are too short for the train and many people just dont look when they go out of the train. They can fall onto the platform and get hurt very badly.

So yeah certain tag are cool but it’s way cooler to just dont tag the windows for the travelers

  7. If they have to spend millions of euros a year on cleaning their trains, it means that vandalism like this is one of the reasons my train ticket is more expensive than it should be.

    So no, not a fan.

  8. I do love the artwork on trains IF it isn’t covering the windows!

  9. Whenever I see this I get hopping mad at this vandalism. There is no excuse for it. None.

Destroying public property and fucking up a passengers already poor commute experience. Assholes. Worst of all: it covers up key safety information which is in the bottom line of the car.

Also how the hell has Infrabel or NMBS not found a solution to this yet. Doesn’t happen as much in other countries, why here

  10. I know it is a waste of taxpayers Euro’s but god damm I love a good wholecar!!

  11. Yeah, when I sit inside it feels like I’m in a dark tube… Not really an upgrade.

  12. the cat looks funny but painting on trains is bad and dangerous

  13. If it looks nice, I like it, but covering the windows is childish and anti-human. If they can’t come up with a design that works without covering the windows, they’re either talentless hacks or they just hate the working class.

  14. Extra bewaking inzetten om enkele graffiti artiesten te pakken en ze dan de tientallen miljoenen euro’s laten betalen in ruil voor een medaille voor het beste ontwerp gekozen door televoting. Let the games begin!

  15. I’ve seen nice and cool art on trains. This is not among those.

  16. This is quite detrimental for the passengers, covering the windows and stuff.

I do think they should just be colourful and unique to start with, let some actual artists (both graffiti and others) make designs for them to bring some colour instead of the grey&yellow vibe. Might also stop them from looking like a canvas to some.
