> Burns, the actor, musician and writer best known as the original host of Nickelodeon’s “Blue’s Clues,” is launching an original podcast with Lemonada Media called “Alive.” It’s slated to premiere in the fall of 2025 (with an exact date TBD).
> “Alive” is a weekly show in which Burns will discuss “identity, mortality, masculinity, loneliness, success and what it means to stay human in a complicated world.” The inspiration for the podcast came after he shared a viral inspirational video for Nick Jr.’s promotion of the 25th anniversary of “Blue’s Clues” in 2021 — a moment when Burns “found himself in conversation again with tens of millions of grown-up fans who still considered him a friend,” according to Lemonada.
> Each week, Burns will “invite thoughtful guests into real, vulnerable and often surprising discussions, building on the same trust that defined Burns’ connection with his television fans and reaching a new audience of listeners,” Lemonada says about the podcast.
Honestly, it’s Steve Burns or Joe Pera who I would say took the mantle from Fred Rodgers
I used to watch Blue’s Clues with the kids I babysat. It was one of the chillest and most fun TV shows.
My most fundamental memory of blues clues is when I turned on the tv expecting to see Blue and Magenta and was met with a burning building on every channel. It was September 11th. Sadly, it’s the first thing I think of when I look back on the show.
Also, no one looks forward to mail anymore. That’s the updated version I expect.
Like an inverse Peewee
Got to meet him at Fan Expo. Such a cool dude.
I am 100% all in on this without even knowing anything about it
My little loves watching blue. In an age of over stimulation programming this show is so chill. The newer versions i cannot stand it’s too much. I keep wanting a crossover episode of Steve and Mrs rachel.
If you have not heard his band’s album he released like 20 years ago, there is some good stuff. The main track, Mightly Little Man, is awesome. I believe it was produced/involved with The Flaming Lips or at least Wayne Coyne.

This is the kinda thing we need more of. People putting their light into the world, and using their voice to empower and spread the good.
I’ll probably listen to this!
Mail Time, but you get a jury summons and repossession notice.
The Blue Crime Network
Despite rumours, no, he didn’t join marines to fight in Al-qaeda
Fun fact: Steve Burns did the theme song for the TV show Young Sheldon, and he appeared in a couple episodes.
I really hope he gives his opinion on the Blues Clues x Law and Order fan theory.
Don’t know why but I always think he died of some rare cancer like 10-15 years ago.
I just love him and his work. Will tune in for whatever he does next.
What we didn’t know we needed!
Something to add on my listen list aside from Lo-Fi while working on some art, Hell yeah.
Now this is a guy that deserves a podcast
In a world where there are way too many pods, this is one I will definitely be tuning into. Steve is a bright spot in this world.
Here’s the mail, it never fails.
“THE MAIL’S HERE!!!”
“*You have been selected for jury duty.*”
Blue’s After Dark?
We got Blues Clue’s podcast before gta 6.
This sounds great, but I am so burned out from podcasts
“We take out our whiskey glass and drink, drink, driiiiiiink” 😩
Sponsored by “blue chew”
I’m in my early 50’s and had my son at 22. We watched Blue’s Clues religiously and my son had his little notebook and a Blues Clues game and stuffed animal. I saw Steve make this announcement on Instagram today and started to cry and felt calm. I know he is special to all the kids that watched him, but he’s also special to the young parents who watched with their kids.
This is dope. I used to watch blues clues back in the day whenever I sick and couldn’t go to school. As a 36 year old who still has a special place in my heart for blue and Steve, I will check it out.
Could someone DM me if he gets Loonette to guest? I’d like to see if I still have a clown crush.
Sounds like a ton of ads
If you can’t wait that long, [listen to his 17-minute story on “The Moth”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwmtkFPYXsg) which includes crashing a children’s “Blue’s Clues”-themed party to impress his Playmate date.
We’ve fallen so far that we need an “Adult Blues Clues” to help Millennials navigate the world
