So just returned from Norway. We visited Briksdalsbre Fjellstove and paid the appropriate parking fee of 75Nok.. see receipt on second photo
I just got an invoice from Hertz stating I am being charged 534Nok for not paying the same parking fee. (Including penalty and administrative fee )
Can anyone in Norway advise on how to dispute this? Being in US, makes it so much harder to resolve this. Thank you

You contact hertz and ask for more info or despute it on email. And add the paper for paid parking at the spot
It clearly shows you entering the Briksdalsbre parkering at 15:37 and your parking receipt shows you paying at 17:50, why the large discrepancy?
You paid at 17:50 , that covers you backwards 10min, starting from 17:40 and until you leave at 17:57.
What they charged you is the amount for before 17:40 ( I guess you entered at 15:37)
I think you’re supposed to pay in the first ten minutes after you enter, not when you’re leaving.
I don’t think hertz would be able to fix this, finter may pull the invoice if you send them the payment ticket, but it is a long shot.
You need to complain to Hertz with proof that you paid for the parking. Hopefully they will cancel the invoice but you might have to pay the invoice first and they refund you when they finish investigating.
This has happened to me (but with Sixt) and it took 6 months for my refund.
I have disputed “lagring og oppslag” before because it is basically an illegal bullshit feed. Simple solution, don’t pay that portion.
Note that Finter has a lot of automated bad working services designed to make it hard to do everything right without misunderstanding. This is their business model, asking people to overplay and see what they do.
One point is that I don’t see the number you’re talking about (534) – hard to say what you mean here.
The experts in answering your inquiry is Forbrukerrådet.
I suggest you make a ticket at Finter, explaining that you are not going to pay this fee because you already paid for one day. Furthermore write a ticket to Forbrukerrådet.
In the end it is Finter’s burden to prosecute you. Which is unlikely because you show that you have paid and because you are not Norwegian. Probably you could get away with ignoring them.
Anyway, check with Forbrukerrådet if you want to be sure.
