Few hours ago, this unusually large pigeon landed on my balcony and hasn't left since. Its color is quite different from the usual city pigeons, and even when I try to scare it away, it just flies off and comes right back.

I noticed it has a black tag on one of its legs. Does anyone know what that might mean? Is it trained or someone's pet?

  5. The ring shows a combination if letters/numbers that can help find its owner. This is a special breed which only has one ring.

  24. People who breed birds put the leg rings on their birds to better identify them, like to differentiate between a male and a female, birth year etc.

    This pigeon likely escaped their cage and will very likely die due to predators.
