Senior government sources said the King wanted to have a state visit later in Trump’s second term, hoping the issue could be resolved first.   1. Trump has brought up the 51st state several times since receiving the investigation. Less often than he had been, but not zero.

    If anyone had a set of balls they would have cancelled the visit by now.

  5. Whoever the source was is likely not a sanctioned BP source based off the end of the article and what seems like a pushback to the piece. Maybe a Whitehall source?

  9. This feels like a load of shite? When Trump got the kings letter he said it would likely be September and lo and behold, it is September!

    We’ve just signed a trade deal and bought all those jets from them, sooner the sooner the better. Its like ripping a plaster (band aid for the Americans) off as I can only see Trumps term spiralling even more over the next year or so, get it over and done with.
