  1. Hermano, why not let dirty Sanchez agree to the 5% and then chicken out when nobody watches? SoOCO – Sanchez only once chickend out

  2. What I don`t understand is that they come with a % out of the blue sky. They need to come up with a budget the normal way. What kind of capabilities do we need, how doble get it produced, how do we get the necessary manpower. Then they can divide it between the different NATO parties and calculate the %.
At the moment I hear one story after the next where the funds have been wasted.

  3. Oh great so we can invade Spain then !

Wait no please don’t do that, enough misery in France already.

  4. Spain being unwilling and unable to pay for something is a flex now?

  5. I mean, I’ve believed for ages we all do need to increase spending on defence and we’ve been complacent for decades. Taking that view isn’t caving to ‘Daddy’. And if we spend it – or a lot of it – on developing our own arms industries, it will grant us more independence from the US.

  6. Implying the spanish can even defend themselves from morocco

  7. Wait for the daddy boys to come tell you how signing to increase your spend to an arbitrary 5% just because daddy Trump says so is actually a good thing. And if they think it’s not a good thing they will just cope saying it’s just words they don’t have to comply with, or a negotiation tactic, or making shitty coping excuses about Ukraine.

  8. El presidente just trying to distract people from the massive corruption scandals affecting his number two, his number three, several of his ministers, his wife, his brother, and pretty much his whole government. (But he didn’t know anything about it, he’s as much a victim as we are).

  9. Com on spain. Just play along and after a month or so sudenly chicken out. Nobody will notice or judge.

You see, for now we need these idiots, until we exchanged all the possibly rigged equipmant with european tech.

It would be nit so good for us when the F35 stops working, beccause the majority of our Nuclear defence is based on it and we all threw a shit ton off money into its development. Refitting gonna take some time.

  10. This means almost nothing, to be honest. In 2014, NATO countries agreed to spend 2% of their GDP on defence. Before the Russian Invasion of 2022, more than half of the members weren’t complying with that directive.

I’m confident that it will be the same this time. I don’t see countries that currently spend less than 3% getting close to 5%.

  11. NATO has a wording so vague that its famous article 5 could be complied with by sending a single helmet to aid the attacked country, so who cares? “such action as it deems necessary ”

As opposed to the EU mutual defense clause that is fucking based “the other Member States shall have towards it an obligation of aid and assistance by all the means in their power”

  13. Whose fucking president wore white sneakers to a staged formal attire photoshoot

  14. Wait… Aren’t there a bunch of European territories in the same situation as Ceuta and Melilla? Doesn’t the United Kingdom have territories in the Middle East? Doesn’t Europe have bases all over the world? Is this in the political landscape of other countries?
