  1. Unpopular opinion, if you are planning to travel to North Korea as a tourist you are funding the military regime. Way too many westerners going there trying to sneak a recording for the social media forgetting one wrong move or misspoken word by a North Korean will land a death penalty on him or her.

  2. I mean, we’re talking about a beach front resort.

Im not sure how the Korean waters are. (Maybe theyre beautiful like cancun, maybe the sands are white) But with a size of 20,000 capacity, it tells me it’s going to be mostly like how lots of people stay within the hotel zones of cabo and enjoy the beach front property.

My guess is whatever train or plane will offer direct shuttles to and from beach resort, and you’ll be essentially blocked off from North Korea unless an actual emergency happens. Be it needing to go to a nearest hospital, etc..

Its a smart idea. Now, if they can figure out the logistics within the first couple of years and ensure safety. It could be a strong attraction.

Could generate a lot of revenue from neighboring visitors.

  3. I’d rather have a curated tour in a country ruled by an absolute psychopath of a leader where you could sometimes peak behind the curtains, than visiting a resort with 20.000 other tourists to fund the lavish lifestyle of said insane dictator.

But influencers will go there by the thousands en vlog about it with thumbnails depicting an dystopian paradise and captions like “the best beach… of North Korea?”

And than some wil misbehave and somehow disappear and that will generate all kind op YouTube drama slob.

Eventually only the people that want to shock others will go there. Egotistical people, not caring about the suffering population, just filming for views and sponsorships and not giving a fuck about empathy.

    This timeline is fucking depressing.
