Homes for Ukraine: Robert Jenrick takes in Ukrainian refugee family

  1. I knew this was to ‘rebrand’ his image but I never thought he’d be so blatant.

As soon as they got through the door he must have waved them out into the garden, handed them a Ukrainian flag and told them to smile.

  2. And yet he owes British tax payers millions for the many scandals he has been a part of. This cheap PR move means nothing.

  3. I thought the rational behind the byzantine visa process was to keep vulnerable women and children away from creepy men?

  4. Glad to see some people are aware of what this berk has presided over. There is something “full circle” about a former housing minister who was censured over a development on the isle of dogs that contained no affordable homes and made 2 million for it’s developer (a Tory donor) now housing people in need fleeing from war. I’ll bet he’s got a nice luxurious home so it would be nice at some point for him to house a young British couple who have been locked out of home ownership by he and his cronies housing policies over the last 12 years.

  5. Which of his three houses has he welcomed them into? Or are they in the rented house in Newark (his constituency), which the taxpayer pays £2000 per month for?

Looks like it’s the Newark one, so actually, the taxpayer has taken in the refugee family. Well done, us!
