‘Heartbroken’ and ‘betrayed’: Marine vet speaks out on father beaten by ICE agents

this video and i want to warn you it’s disturbing to watch is of masked border patrol agents violently detaining a man in california and you might have seen it it’s been making the rounds on social media the man in the video is narcisso baronco landscaper and father of three united states marines he was working on a job at an ihop when masked agents chased him and threw him to the ground and repeatedly struck him in the arm and near the face and finally they pushed him into the back of an unmarked vehicle we spoke to his son marine corps veteran alejandro baronco whose brothers are still active duty marines and here’s what he said i believe um the ice agents were in the same um plaza as him uh he was just working the the landscaping job at the ihop on on that street and i think they were just racially profiling people um there’s videos out there and my dad saw that a couple of guys masked up civilian clothes no ids no warrant big guns came up to him he got scared i think it’s a natural human reaction and he he ran away he didn’t know who they were it’s very hard on us because we’ve always tried to bring um we’ve always tried to help this country out we gave our our lives to this country um it’s just not fair and i don’t like the the way they’re going about this um uh honestly i’m i’m heartbroken because i mean i love this country i love my parents i love the community it’s just i don’t know i feel i feel betrayed dhs says the original video doesn’t show the whole picture and they shared this one saying he could have quote mowed down agents with his weed whacker and they quote used minimum amount of force but we’ve obtained some new video of angles you might not have seen yet which show baronco trying to get away for now alejandro and their family’s main mission is to get to their dad and get him out of ice detention in downtown los angeles we reached out to dhs for comment on those additional video angles and they declined to comment

After Narciso Barranco, a landscaper in California, was pinned down and violently detained by federal immigration agents, his son — who has served in the U.S. Marine Corps — is speaking out about what happened to his father.
NBC News’ Jacob Soboroff spoke to Alejandro Barranco, who said he feels “heartbroken” and “betrayed” by what happened.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said Barranco “refused to comply every step of the way” and that agents used “the minimum amount of force necessary to resolve the situation.”

I understand that people have been frustrated and struggling, but why would you prefer this dictatorship to leaders who would and could help you and your family. These ICE agents will be held accountable some day, but the damage being done may be irreversible. Always vote BLUE!!!

  31. They’re mercenaries, not federal agents. They were hired through nationalist groups prior to inauguration. It was basically a help wanted ad, paying $1000 a person.
