  1. I don’t know why they don’t just become a proper charity if they care so much? Oh wait…

  2. I looked them up

They’re a CIC which means they can fundraise

But they have to do so lawfully. And this shows that they aren’t

  3. Directors of the controversial fundraising firm We R Blighty have been fined after pleading guilty to multiple offences of collecting money from the public “for private gain” without the required licences.

Representatives of We R Blighty, a Kent-based community interest company (CIC) which says it supports homeless military veterans, also admitted to street trading while lacking permission.

Former soldier Ben Mills and his partner Danielle Vidler each entered guilty pleas to 14 offences during a hearing at City of London Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.

The court heard that We R Blighty had operated illegally in the Square Mile continually between August 2024 and February this year, despite repeated written and in-person warnings from the City of London Corporation’s Licensing Team.

  4. >The company and its directors were fined a total of £1,792 and ordered to pay £1,700 in costs to the City Corporation.

So back out tomorrow as they can raise that from unsuspecting members of the public in a day or two.

  5. These pests aggravate me so much. Surely it must be possible to crack down on the lot of them, as some kind of breach of the peace.

  6. Can we get the purple and blue jacket guys next please? The whole CIC thing is just disgusting

  7. Can we be rid of them just for having the worst name for a charity ever. We R Blighty…I get what it means but what sort of name is it!? Terrible
