Because I am a 30 year old man and I can do whatever I like.

  1. I saw a baby Goldcrest being fed by its mum. They are absolutely tiny birds and the babies even more so. It was very cute and made me smile.

    Lovely sunflowers you have there!

  2. Did all the weeding in the flags in the back garden… it looked great when I’d finished 😀
(Been out to look at it again x 3 and smiled every time)

    Front garden tomorrow

  3. Ah man, I wish people would buy us men flowers sometimes. The mrs buys me daffodils in spring and its lovely

  4. Harvested some blueberries and wild strawberries from my garden and ate them on my morning muesli. Yum!

  5. I baked a massive foccacia, then cut a bit off and filled it with homemade salsa, lettuce, thick ham grilled and some manchego cheese.

It was epic and made me very happy.

  6. I think this is where Vincent van Gogh went wrong. Maybe if he incorporated a few cats into his paintings, he’d have sold more of them.

  7. Love the flowers!

We took our son to soft play after school and decided if he was having an ice cream, we were having ice cream too! I had a white magnum.

Although it made the running around afterwards feel a bit… Heavier 🤣

  8. I wish I could say that I did, but I haven’t smiled in a while, sadly. Things aren’t great at the moment, but I did love your flowers. Take care.

  9. Looked at a picture on Reddit that reminded me I no longer work in one of the three graces…woohoo

  10. Look at this picture, doing that made me smile op ☺️

  11. I received a gift from a colleague today that had a really nice message in.

She lost a beloved pet so I did a little drawing for her, it was her saying thank you.

  12. I’ve been watching these beautiful poppies grow daily at work and now they have turned to seed heads and I picked the heads and bought them to a lady friend that adores poppies, not told her what type they are.

  13. I saw a black cat hiding behind a vase full of sunflowers

  14. I too bought nice flowers.

Then had an argument with the cat about her attacking them.

  15. Just closed the door on my first house that I’ve been renting with friends for a few years for the final time, happy that it happened, sad that it’s over, and looking forward to the future:)

  16. I planned an evil trick to play on my dad. Gonna tell him I’m getting a really bad tattoo, then going to get my brother to call him and tell him I got it and it’s terrible. So when I show him my actual tattoo he won’t be upset.

  17. I am almost 30 but I am growing them myself to make me happy. The little things really matter.

  18. Best laugh I’ve had today was reconnecting with r/CasualUK and reading comments on Ronnie Pickering. 🤣🤣

  19. I love sunflowers! They make me happy! Might have to get some for myself.

  20. I checked on the beans growing on my allotment, and I can safely say I’ve at least doubled last year’s harvest of 6 beans!

Oh and I paid off my student loan, and it only took twenty years (but I’m really more excited about the beans)!

  21. I fed a stray cat I’ve been seeing for a while in my neighborhood and she let me pet her! 🥹 Her coat is the most beautiful black and I nicknamed her Midnight. This happened while I was on an evening walk (something I’ve only recently started incorporating into my day) and I’ve never felt so fulfilled!

  22. Sunflowers, a black cat and bright walls is the dream aesthetic

  23. I took a shower. Not much in the grand scheme of things, but I had a horrible week with my health, and being strong enough to wash away the stink of illness really made me feel better.

  24. Went to see the Hercules musical in London – was great fun. Had a nice wander around Covent Garden beforehand and had some lovely gelato as a treat 🙂

  25. “Enjoy your photo, as soon as you turn around, they’re going on the floor” – Cat

  26. Nothing. Maybe that’s the problem. Thank you x

  27. I told a senior manager (not mine obviously) “not a fucking hope in hell” and laughed at them when they decided they wanted me to do work tomorrow.

  28. I had banter with some co-workers.

Then went back to the soul crushing numbness of my existence.

  29. Those are some lovely flowers my man, I really love sunflowers, and I hope the ones I’m growing turn out as good as those ones.

Keeping to the flower theme, what made me smile today was popping out to the garden and finding I have a good punnets worth of fantastic strawberries to harvest – and I have to say they really are delicious this year!

  30. I successfully recalibrated a piece of tech we use daily that needed its two year reset. It’s fairly difficult and two years ago caused me great stress over several hours. I had asked that someone else be tasked with it this time (as in someone younger as I’m 58) but was told it had to be me as I would get it right and “ I’m the best in the team at anything technical” . Did it in 20 minutes. Yay, me. Smiled like the Cheshire Cat.

  31. Today – nothing special but I did recently get myself a private number plate which has continuously put a smile on my face.

  32. I bought Café Bleu by The Style Council on vinyl for £11. It is not as good as Our Favourite Shop, but I am pleased by the experience.
