Hei Norway,

My friend and I are coming to your country at the end of August and a few days in September. We are looking for two 3 day treks in more of the out-back to do around the Bergen area. We have good supplies for the colder september nights and we'd like to swim if possible.

I looked over on UT.NO, and I already found one trail I'm happy with, but the website is a bit difficult to navigate (Dutch people who don't comprehend that anything can be further away than 2 hours by public transport).

Trails I am not looking for are things like the Vidden trail that are very popular and touristy and don't allow allemansretten camping situations. I'd like to reach the trail heads by public transport, that is a must as we can not rent a car.

  1. Take the train to Finse and hike to Hallingskeid, which also has a stop. You can hike directly there or go by Rembedalseter.
