Is it just me, or is the force quoting outdated legislation as basis for their refusal?

The place for eagles is wherever they choose to go, it is not up to people to choose for them. I’m not in North Dorset but I will happily submit an FOI request on this issue to see if I can get a different response. I hate how people thin they can control nature and think nature should submit to our whims, it is like people only enjoy nature when they see it on Countryfile these days.
What happened here is the same thing that always happens on shooting estates and we all know why it happened, even the police do. More needs to be done to make landowners accountable for any dead protected bird of prey found on their property, unless it can truly be put down to natural causes, otherwise it will never stop.
Nothing says innocent like refusing a FOI request when there are no grounds to do so.
