It seems like there are always divorce rumors going around the British Royal family. Prince William and Kate Middleton have had to contend with their share of them lately, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle routinely do, as well. And now that extends even to Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Recent reports indicated that their respective jobs, which keep them apart for long periods of time, could cause a strain in their relationship. “[Spending] a lot of time apart due to work can definitely put a big stain on Princess Beatrice and her husband’s relationship and cause them to become emotionally disconnected,” relationship coach Nicole Moore, the founder & CEO of Love Works Method, shared with The List.

She added that, “when couples are apart a lot, it almost always causes their emotional connection to dwindle unless they are steadfast in maintaining a lot of communication when apart.” These, however, are not reports that this is actually happening between them, just speculation that it could be based on the circumstances. Meaning, we can all take it with a big grain of salt for now, or at least until something more definitive is reported.

Considering that Princess Beatrice’s royal duties are expected to increase when William is King, this has been considered a problem for her marriage. However, the two seemed to quash rumors with a joint appearance on the first day of Royal Ascot 2025. Not just that, the two were caught in a rare moment of public affection in the royal box, which seems to indicate all is well between them. The rest is just the same kind of speculation we always see for famous couples.

Princess Beatrice and her husband have two daughters, Athena Elizabeth Rose, who was born January 22, and 3-year-old Sienna Elizabeth.

This might signal that the two are also getting ready for a possible upcoming change. “When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I’m certain they will get involved with royal duties. It makes perfect sense, because he will need them,” Ingrid Seward, royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Hello!. This, one way or another, involves their spouses too, as they will also be expected to step up. Not so Princess Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew, who Prince William reportedly wants out of the spotlight.

However, speculation is that Prince William would mostly want Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to work together. “I see them as a sort of double act, working together in the same way as married couples do. Two gorgeous Princesses working together as sisters would be very powerful. I think it would be wonderful, and I think it will happen,” the outlet added.

On top of her two daughters with her husband, Princess Beatrice is also stepmother to her husband’s son Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Mapelli Mozzi, who was born in 2016 and whom he shares with his ex Dara Huang. She has referred to herself as a “bonus mum” to Wolfie and spoken about how it’s a “great honour” to be in his life.
