  1. Controversial rap group Kneecap chanted “f**k Starmer” as the rap trio they took to the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury.

The group, which hail from Belfast, have been in the headlines after member, Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence.

The group was forced to cancel gigs after footage allegedly showed members telling audiences to “kill your MP”.

In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for the group to be removed from the line-up, with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer saying their performance would not be “appropriate”.

As the Irish rap trio took to the stage at Glastonbury, the audience began to shout anti-Israeli slogans, including “death to the IDF” – a chant that was started by the preceding band Bob Vylan.

*This is a breaking news story and is being updated.*

  2. Oh no, hurty words. While kids are getting blown to bits in gaza.

  3. Hopefully this is the peak for these media hungry gobshites.

  4. Can’t even call them rappers just talentless publicity stunters

  5. They’re about as controversial as a fart in an elevator.

  6. I mean given all the linguistic possibilities open to the lads, “Fuck Starmer” seems positively mild.

  7. Band who supports terrorists wants us to kill our democratically elected PM.

I’m assuming they do this sort of thing because their music is abysmal and desperately need to feel relevant.

  8. Find it funny the N.Irish, Welsh and Scots seem to get them but when they hit English media? Frothing at the mouth.

Remember these lads live in colonised lands, they understand.

  9. When your music is that shit, just go political

  10. Because farage is more aligned with their politics? I am getting extraordinarily bored of these beige edgelords who spend more time screeching ‘fuck the person who is a bit like me’ and no time really at all speaking out against the people who don’t share their views at all.

I am increasing of the view that their small mindedness is 90% of the problem. They make the very serious causes they espouse sound ridiculous, making real progress harder.

Bah. Maybe not 90%. I should go for a walk and drink some water.

  11. Oh no won’t someone think of the children.

Who fucking cares. It’s amazing how a bit of rage bate has turned at best mediocre rappers into headline news.

  12. That’s… Fine? It’s not chanting for terrorists or calling for him to be killed.

On the list of controversial things they have previously done this ranks very low.

  13. If the Free Palestine crowd end up causing Nigel Farage and Reform UK to become prime minister and take over the country it will be because of Kneecap. No different than when these same people caused Kamala Harris to lose the US election last year

  14. Starmer is a nice bloke but not really my sort so I will politely decline

  15. yeah well done lads, wont it be just great when Farage gets in, lets see if that makes you happy.

    thick cunts

  16. Come on guys, I’m all for freedom of speech, but artists declaring an political opinion is where I draw the line.

    /S obviously.

Wait for tone deaf mainland UK takes on northern Ireland.

  17. I think the funnier one is the Glastonbury chants about no borders despite being in a giant walled off area with plenty of guards to prevent people getting in illegally

  18. It’s an improvement on calling for violence. They have every right to speak, so long as they don’t call for violence.

  19. You have obviously missed the fact that most of the island of Ireland have been very vocal in publicly calling out how the Palestinian people are being treated and in condemnation of The IDF.

You seem to think it’s just Kneecap? Jesus wept!
