Looking like we're gonna be hitting another run of days over 30C at the start of next week.
All 'It's facking hot/I can't sleep/This is the greatest thing ever' discussion to go here.
Top Tips
- Stay hydrated!
- Seek shade!
- Change your journey to use air conditioned routes!
- Wear sunscreen (yes, even in London)!
- Keep on eye on the young, old and pets, who may struggle with the heat more!
- Those with hayfever, dust or pollution allergies, grab your antihistamines!
- Recognise the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion!
- DO NOT SWIM IN THE THAMES, there are very strong currents and fast moving boats.
- Plenty of safer pools, lidos and public lakes if you want a dip.

Innit?
I’m moving on Monday and already dreading dealing with the hassle of moving and thirty three degrees 🫠🫠
On the bright side, this weather has me spending even more time in the gym, because it’s the only place nearby with air con.
To add to this:
Please, do not swim in the tidal Thames to cool off. It is a bad idea.
Source: I used to coordinate search and rescue missions at London Coastguard and I am serving RNLI crew on the river.
It’s going to be a hot first day of Wimbledon on Monday 🥵
Am going to live off strawberries and cream, and green smoothies
I bought an [ice vest](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stronrive-Cooling-Outdoor-Fishing-Adjustable/dp/B08F1YTCCJ?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=AGQ1KHGI42O3R) last year. Not expensive, the bags just need filling with water and sticking in the freezer overnight. Wear it as long as you like, but especially valuable in the hotter parts of the day. Highly recommended.
Check your medications. Lots are supposed to be kept between 5-25°C so you might need to find a cool place for them.
I’m currently dehydrating from 6pm today until 1pm tomorrow for an audition, might die.
Anyone got a tips for motivating myself to exercise in this weather (no gym pass…).
Or should I just accept my upcoming surf trip will be a heady combinations of no back strength, shite pop ups, and body boarding my log in…
