Meghan Markle had a slightly awkward moment after meeting Prince Andrew, leading to a puzzling question that left Prince Harry bemused.
In the early stages of their relationship, Harry introduced Meghan to his Royal relatives, including now King Charles, Prince William, and his wife Kate. However, Meghan’s most significant introduction was to her now husband’s late grandmother, the Queen.
This encounter, however, seemed to leave Meghan somewhat perplexed, as revealed in the Channel 5 documentary, The Battle For Royal Lodge – Andrew vs Charles.

The documentary recounts a story from Harry’s controversial memoir, where he describes Meghan’s first meeting with his late grandmother. This meeting took place at Royal Lodge, the home of his Uncle Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who had to teach Meghan how to curtsy at the last minute.
But it was at the end of this gathering that Meghan asked a revealing question about Harry’s uncle, even suggesting that he might not be a family member, reports the Mirror.
Harry wrote about how, after the Queen finished her conversation with Meghan, his Uncle Andrew, who was sitting next to her holding her handbag, began to escort her out. “After a moment Meg asked me something about the Queen’s assistant. I asked who she was talking about.”
When she replied “the man who walked her to the door,” Harry realized she was referring to the Queen’s second son.
Andrew has stepped back from public life after a catastrophic interview on BBC Newsnight concerning his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Additionally, he was stripped of his military titles and Royal patronages with the consent of his mother, the late Queen.
Currently, Andrew is embroiled in a heated tiff with his brother, King Charles, over his residence at the 30-room Royal Lodge near Windsor Castle, which requires significant repairs.

King Charles even extended an offer to Andrew, who had to withdraw from Royal commitments, to relocate to Frogmore Cottage—a four-bedroom home formerly occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan, which would be more practical.
However, the Duke adamantly refuses to leave, asserting his capability to cover the estimated £2 million in urgent refurbishment costs. Insiders claim the “Siege of Royal Lodge” has severely soured the relationship between King Charles and Andrew.
Andrew has declared to friends that he is “going nowhere” and has communicated to both the King and the Crown Estate, proprietors of the Royal Lodge, that he holds a “cast iron lease” which he signed for a term of 75 years back in 2002.
