> Petrol stock levels at garages in eastern England averaged 19% as of April 10, with south-east England recording 21% and London 22%, a drop from the pre-pandemic average of 40%
> Diesel stocks have also dropped in recent days, averaging 23% at filling stations in eastern England as of April 10, compared with a pre-pandemic level of 48%.
> In London, diesel stock levels have dropped to 24%, down from 46% pre-pandemic, while in south-east England they have fallen to 26%, down from 47%
I was in London on thursday and I went to a petrol station and only one pump was open and the queues were crazy.
Ah, the gold ol’ British media drumming up a scare story so that they have something to moan about.
Panic buy you peasants and itll fill column inches for a week
Was in Hastings today, one petrol station entirely closed, another without super-unleaded, another without diesel.
Thus far I have not seen anywhere with queues, seems the (manufactured?)panic we saw a few months ago has not materialised.
Heard about this 2 weeks ago. Not in the news because the damage was already done. It was an excuse for the Tories to scrap the competition law.
