How anyone could disagree with this is beyond me. Anyone that’s lived in an estate or an area where little scumbags cause chaos on scramblers knows how much of a danger they are.
Keep thinking about how this could have been a completely different headline and a families life ruined. Thank God she’s doing alright.
I remember Christmas a few years ago, two young fellas killed themselves on Christmas morning on new scramblers they had been given within like an hour of each other
Scrotes on scramblers smashing kids? Fuck that, reign it in. Surely we have laws on the books to deal with the issue and it doesn’t require new legislation?
They haven’t even brought in meaningful legislation for e-scooters yet in this country. Scramblers have no business in urban areas but we’ll be waiting years (if ever) to see any meaningful crackdown on scrotes like these driving where they shouldn’t
I saw what looked like two young boys on scramblers tearing through traffic on Friday afternoon, though this was in Ballymun, leaving IKEA
Fucking hate the things. I can hear them in the field of a neighboring estate sometimes. Always little dirtbag kids with dirtbag parents bombing around on them as fast as they can go.
No helmets or pads on the kids. No regard for anyone else around. Just go fast, crash hard, turn into a meat crayon.
Nothing will happen until some politician’s kid or family member gets run over by one of these fucks
What’s a fucking joke is that the guards do absolutely nothing about it.
We had a racing motorcross bike, family has a history of racing and has mechanics. Girlfriends brother spent a year doing it up from a complete non runner and had only been used in tracks and controlled areas.
A few days before Christmas two scumbag teenagers broke into the garage and stole it during the night, we’re in blanch and have seen the exact one around corduff and they go up in huge groups in a field area behind Blanch IT and basically have a man made track.
So many fucking times we’ve told guards that the exact bike has been spotted and every time they give us the same shite that they’ll look into it and chase it up, countless times they’ve assured us they would approach them on a date we’ve heard they’re meeting and every time we’re let down.
Now a fucking child could’ve been killed and I still really just don’t have faith in them to actually start trying to stop them.
They’re already illegal in public places. Gardaí need permission to ram them out of this world.
Poor child. Absolutely rediculous. They should definitely be banned. I’m really hoping that there was CCTV in the area or that someone caught their image on camera and that they’re not only done for dangerous driving but also for leaving the scene of an accident.
As a person hit by a moped by an ugly looking junkie scum when I was 14 that lead to an open head wound and plenty of stitches and painkiller still to this day I’m kinda petrified of vehicles still, always having the taught of one losing control behind me I cannot imagine the the suffering she will go through because of this it actually made me tear up seeing her little face looking down… I’m 23 so it is pretty long lasting fear as I doubt I’ll ever forget the dark blood pouring into my eyes. I hope they do ban them fucking scumbag transport vehicle
There are defenders of scramblers, but I just fundamentally disagree with their views that you can change attitudes with lessons and dedicated dirt tracks. Anyone who uses a scrambler in Dublin is a scumbag. I have yet to see someone using one in the city that hasn’t used them for oncoming wheelies, burnouts in the road or doing tiktoks while not wearing helmets. And now there are turf wars in dodgy areas that involve stealing scramblers that lead to more antisocial groups beating others up for them. They need to be banned in Dublin.
The Garda already know who these fucks are because they already pissed off all their neighbors. Plainclothes garda should be outside their houses, waiting for them arriving back to confiscate the bikes.
This is easily done.
Anyone caught riding on a public footpath on a scrambler is automatically ineligible ever to be given a driving licence.
Anyone whose child is caught on a scrambler on a public footpath has their social welfare transferred out of cash into direct payments to utility companies and the remainder into vouchers for supermarkets which do not allow for the purchase of alcohol or tobacco products.
Scramblers will be finished in an afternoon once there’s consequences.

Without fail every Friday evening after 5 they are driving on the pavement around the Aylesbury shops, up and down the field there too. I know for a fact this has been reported in the past but it has never stopped.
