Temperatures will drop across Greece on Sunday, following the recent heatwave, with cloudy skies and scattered local showers expected in some areas.
In western mainland Greece, temperatures may locally reach 35–36°C, while elsewhere they are not expected to exceed 32–34°C.
Partly cloudy conditions with afternoon showers or thunderstorms are forecast for central and eastern Macedonia, Thrace, eastern Thessaly, the Sporades, eastern Central Greece, Evia, and the Peloponnese.
The rest of the country will experience mostly clear weather, with some clouds during midday and afternoon hours over mountainous regions, including parts of Crete.
Winds will range from force 4 to 6, locally reaching force 7–8 in Evia, Attica, and the eastern Peloponnese, and up to force 8–9 in the Cyclades, Crete, the Dodecanese, and the eastern Aegean.
