  1. The “single justice procedure” goes against the right to a fair trial imho and should be scrapped.

    ‘We’ll use ads or a direct ‘no pay no play’ fee structure’

    BBC ‘You have no choice or say in the matter. If you live in the UK you’ll pay a licence fee or get a criminal record’

  3. You have people say the TV licence is fine because it allows us to project ‘soft power’ then the BBC goes off and does stuff like this.

  4. Just cancel it, follow the instructions carefully, read the (misdirecting) questions carefully and get it cancelled. There’s also a way you can ban their knobsquad from turning up at your door, can’t remember how but it’s to do with GDPR.

    If you still wanna watch it, (there are very few good things on there now) Sign up to BBC i player with fake name, junk email address, and enter a postcode down the road from your home address. Job done.

    BBC are stuck in the past, and should they ever change to adverts or streaming, that know they’ll be done for so they bully people for their outdated licence.

    Although it is a “criminal offence” not paying the licence, they absolutely cannot prove it now we’re not on analogue TV, unless they can see it on in your house. IT IS NOT a legal requirement to let them on, or inside your property.

    HELP THE DEMISE OF THE BBC LICENCE, STOP PAYING YOUR LICENCE. ENFORCE THEM TO BECOME AD OR SUBSCRIPTION BASED.

  6. There is one infamous case that keeps being brought up.
    A women with learning difficulties in Sunderland. Had all her financial and legal issues managed for her by the council.

    The council forgot to renew the TV License direct debit.

    The goons came round and found she was watching TV.

    The council then agreed to the SJP guilty verdict. With the women getting a criminal record.

    It was the council’s fault.

Back before idiot in chief Boris Johnson got elected and made PM he and the Tories were banging on about defunding the BBC and not allowing prosecutions….as soon as he got elected it was back to oh no the BBC is a vital institution blah blah. It’s a regressive punitive tax and the licence fee should be scrapped
