That’s good news. We are heavily dependent on east Asia in that matter. That has to change because of politics *cough China cough* and because of the instability of the economy. Like what’s literally happening right now.
Potentially an 80 billion Euro investment from Intel over a decade is pretty big. Whichever region does get it will probably get a sizable boost to GDP/job creation.
It should be called a drive of Intel to land on as much as possible EU subsidies. Because let’s be honest, that’s the only reason why the company considers billing factories in Europe.
The EU needs to get its cheque book out and guarantee this factory comes to Europe.
It’s critical we have **more** chip plants in the world and even more critical it’s in Europe. It dosnt matter which country, as long as we get a major factory.
