  1. Everybody seems to forget McNeil’s countermanding order. If he hadn’t given it, the whole country would have rebelled instead of just the Dublin units.

    Was in a bar once and had a guy trying to convince me the guys in the GPO were all actually from Cork. Eh no.

  2. They were all set to stand the IRB down but James Connolly said, We’re going in. Therefore a small number of IRB men tagged along because they didn’t want the socialist getting all the glory for the break out.
