The Riga Technical University (RTU) ranks highest, in the 761-770 bracket, a drop from last year’s 721-730.
The University of Latvia (LU) has dropped from last year’s 781-790 bracket to 801-850 this year.
Meanwhile, Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) has been on a downward slide for the past three years, ranking 1001-1200 (951-1000 last year).
RTU and RSU both did well on the international student ratio and diversity criterion, while LU did better in employment outcomes and international research.
The first five places in the global rankings are held by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College London, Stanford University, University of Oxford, and Harvard University.
The best Baltic performer is University of Tartu, which ranks in 362th place worldwide. Also, the Tallinn University of Technology (635) and the Tallinn University (901-950) are included on the list from Estonia.
Lithuania is represented by five universities: Vilnius University (446th place), Kaunas University of Technology (741-750), Vytautas Magnus University (741-750), Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (851-900), and Mykolas Romeris University (1001-1200).
