Aah nostalgia. I used to live in the area and had a magnificent direct view from my apt, a few 100m away. Sitting on my couch, I gazed a million times at its lit dome at night, never got tired of it.
A true Belgian landmark.
The surroundings could use an update and be made more accessibel. It’s cut off from the surroundings by heavy car traffic.

You mean La Koekelique de Baselberg?
Really nice. I visited it recently. Didn’t know it was one of the biggest (top 5 I guess) in Europe or even the world.
Needs some outside cleaning though. It’s sad to see so many of our monuments kept dirty.
Nimmer forget Stefaan Sintobin who thought it was a mosque.
