    Maksym is survived by his wife and 4-year-old son.

    “Max was a guy made of steel. He always wanted to be the best. He was the super-intellect of the group. He had big, strong wings,” said Lilia Averyanova, mother of Andrii “Juice” Pilshchykov, another fallen Ukrainian F-16 pilot and Maksym’s classmate.

  3. Totally sucks he died and Ukraine loses a jet it can ill afford. Hope they’re getting more pilots trained up, and more f16 and mirages soon.

  4. why are they flying so close to Russian lines? further away and you still can intercept the rockets and drones, but not get targeted by SAM’s
