As long as I’m a non-EU national and have the funds to pay for flights, etc. to get me to the EU border, I should come in winter and be stuck there for a few days, all of this willingly and clearly not by accident, and then the EU should just take me in because of the horrible conditions I put myself into and give me refugee status? So no point in following official asylum application procedures?
I think PiS is basically the worst. Well, not worse than Fuckashenko, anyway.
So it is with this disclaimer that I think that, for once, the Polish government is doing the best it can to protect the border and is justified in doing so. What is not, justifiable, however, is the religious fundamentalist position of “babies lives matter,” which you can see all over Polish twitter. The government has a choice in this matter, and it is choosing to protect their borders, no matter the cost. But these same fundamentalists say that women cannot make decisions on their own bodies. And that shit just doesn’t fly with me.
