The largest year-on-year increases were recorded in the retail sale of electrical household appliances in specialised stores (10.6 %), retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (7.5 %), as well as retail sale of cosmetics and toiletries (5.8 %).
Retail sale of food products dropped by 5.0 %. For non-food products, except automotive fuel, the volume of retail trade reduced by 0.1 %, while for automotive fuel it declined by 1.3 %.
A turnover decrease was also recorded in stalls or markets (12.3 %), for clothing, footwear and leather goods (6.1 %), as well as for cultural and recreation goods (5.5 %).
Adjusted for calendar effects, the total year-on-year retail trade turnover at current prices reduced by 2.0 %.
Month-on-month retail trade turnover reduced by 0.7 % (seasonally adjusted data at constant prices).
The strongest month-on-month growth was registered in the retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (2.7 %) and in the retail sale of cosmetics and toiletries (2.6 %).
Retail sales of food products dropped by 1.1 %. For non-food products, except automotive fuel, the volume of retail trade reduced by 1.0 % and for automotive fuel it rose by 0.7 %.
The largest turnover declines were recorded in the retail trade in pharmaceutical and medical goods (4.2 %), retail sale via mail order houses or via the Internet (3.4 %), and retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (2.1 %).
Adjusted for seasonal effects, the total month-on-month retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 2.4 %.
