  1. > Rising rates of child poverty have led to a growing burden on hospitals, with the knock-on cost to the NHS comparable to the annual defence budget.

So wait, years of governments punching down whilst cheered by the press has been bad for the nation? Colour me shocked.

  2. Just to add on to the details and figures already discussed in this, I still remember reading years ago that the NHS were noticing an increase in malnutrition and resulting issues. It is a scary thought that people are unable to afford food in a ‘rich’ country. Also scary how little food our food actually has in it.

  3. That what happens when governments choose not invest in the structures that support the workforce, for governments to then wonder why illness is increasing to cause expensive benefits bills.

I would suggest the increase in folk going on the sick has a lot to do with what the government did to the NHS

  4. The NHS is crucial. Absolutely crucial. It needs so much more support.

  5. Its fine, once reform sell the NHS off to US insurance firms we will see real health inequality

  6. Wait till Frottage gets in and flogs it all to the Yanks and insurance companies then you will all be fkin whining, accept no one will be listening anymore.
