We’re from Scotland, and it was my first time visiting Ireland — definitely won’t be my last.

There were a few things that really stood out to me:

Ireland is so clean. I genuinely hardly saw any litter or dog mess anywhere, which sadly isn’t something I can say about back home.

The people were incredibly welcoming. I got a few funny and wholesome reactions to my Scottish accent that made me feel right at home.

Everything felt more chilled out. Life just seems to move at a more relaxed pace.

There’s a strong sense of community. That’s something I feel has faded a bit where I’m from, so it was lovely to see.

Ireland seems to be thriving. It felt progressive, modern, and full of energy.

It's expensive. I was pretty shocked at how expensive food and drink is but that's not a deal breaker.

All in all, 10/10 — your country is amazing and I genuinely can’t wait to come back!

(Massive shout-out to Mayfield birds of prey sanctuary. The owner, Willy is an absolute legend. He really went above and beyond to give us the full bird of prey experience. I highly recommend it!)

  8. Willie Corcoran who runs [Mayfield Birds of Prey](https://www.falconryinireland.com/) is absolutely a legend. He’s doing amazing work and he charges half nothing to show off his birds. Absolutely lovely guy and great to see a shout-out to him in here!

Is that Sadie I spy in that photo? She has the most beautiful eyes!
