You literally cannot make this up. On the one side, Bob Vylan and Kneecap get investigated for shouting “Death to the IDF” and other “slanderous activity” at a Glastonbury and suddenly it’s national outrage, condemnations flying, police interest piqued.

Meanwhile, in the same news cycle, 23 people including kids are killed in Gaza by the actual IDF… and that’s just another headline to scroll past?

One gets denounced.
The other gets normalized.
Words spark moral panic.
Bullets don’t.

Tell me again who the real threat to public safety is?

  1. Bob said a lot more than death to the IDF. He’s a dick but I support his right to be one.

  2. They are so scared to call out the villains in this ! Zionist hate is so acceptable to some of the political elite

  3. In the same weekend, a little-known artist making provocative comments at Glastonbury got exponentially more media coverage than the revelations that IDF soldiers have admitted to [a policy of opening fire and killing](https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2025-06-27/ty-article-magazine/.premium/idf-soldiers-ordered-to-shoot-deliberately-at-unarmed-gazans-waiting-for-humanitarian-aid/00000197-ad8e-de01-a39f-ffbe33780000) the Palestinian civilians which Israel is systematically starving and ethnically cleansing.

    The world turned upside down.

  4. This sub needs a Kneecap flair. Badly.

Edit: their bots are out of the traps early today with the downvotes. Which is understandable because adding a flair might allow users to filter out Kneecap stories which would reduce their footprint on socials which is their entire goal.

  5. Opening from an article a few days ago

    >The Israeli military has killed at least 410 people trying to get food at Israeli-run aid sites in Gaza in the past month.

    >This constitutes “a likely war crime” that violates international standards on aid distribution, according to the United Nations.

Maybe, just maybe, “death to the IDF” chants at Glastonbury shouldn’t even make Starmer’s top 410 list of things to be concerned with this month. Though he’s probably a bit stressed from stamping export licenses for munitions to… the IDF.

  6. I sent this exact screenshot to my family yesterday saying the same thing. Its bloody f’ed up.

  7. Easier to moan about Glastonbury than dead children

    Particularly for the right

  8. Maybe the Palestinians should stop letting Hamas hideout in their hospitals and schools.

  9. Misleading photo. Kneecap didn’t chant “death to the IDF”, it was Bob Vylan, who is as unoriginal as they come and looks to me to be a talentless attention seeker

  10. Even when it was being reported on BBC radio, Glastonbury “outrage” was the lead stone, the very next story on the bulletin was the number of kids killed by the IDF. The fucking hypocrisy.

  11. It’s almost as if they have forgotten that one is words and the other is life taken away, gone…..Forever!

  12. We are supposed to be okay with wishing death on Russians, but to also treat the IDF like delicate little flowers.

If international law actually existed in the real world and not just on paper, the legality is already very clear; any and all people in the world have the justification to use whatever force necessary to stop the genocide.

I wonder how the powers that be would have reacted if he chanted death to the IRGC?

  13. I can’t believe 2 bands slandered the Schutzstaffel SS right as they were in the middle of durchschleusung the “undesirables”. Arrest them immediately! Get the PM on the phone to condemn them!

It’s so weird to be that every country in the western world seems to be expected to have this alliegence and deferrence to what is now clearly a rogue state undertaking a genocide, likely because they bought and paid for the entire US political ecosystem. Governments and media have no problem acknowledging (rightly) when Russia undertakes some humanitarian outrage in Ukraine – but when it comes to Gaza and Israels conduct in the Middle East they think we all don’t have eyes and can’t see the huge criminal act they are committing.

  14. r/unitedkingdom is having a serious conflict right now, both in massive support of Bob Vylan while at the same time eaglery wanting Kneecap to feel the full force of the law.

Some of them are basically throwing temper tantrums over there that the charges wrongly filed against Kneecap were dropped, due to them being filed long after the statute of limitations that the UK have for summary offences. I’m not a very big kneecap fan, but they’ve had an unreal 2025 in terms of showing up the British system (and a decent chunk of British society) for what it is in this regard.

  15. Sanctions when ?

I often wonder how much dirt Israel has on all the politicians in the western world, they must have some amount of it.
