From Thursday to Monday, the Center’s space in the TUP complex was filled with rehearsals, socializing, and collaborative music-making. Adding a special musical touch to the exchange was the German band Skool Fighters, who arrived accompanied by their mentors.

Their hosts were young Dubrovnik bands Rock Palace and Agroni, who operate under the local arts association Tvornica umjetnosti Podroom. Together with their German counterparts, they performed two well-attended concerts—first at the Puntižela Festival in Župa dubrovačka, and then last night as part of the Art Workshop Lazareti program.

In addition to musical activities, the guests enjoyed a rich cultural and educational program. Thanks to cooperation with the Lokrum Reserve, they took part in a themed excursion titled “Historical Gardens of the Dubrovnik Area” aboard the hybrid boat Lacroma, and they attended the play “The School for Scandal” at Fort Lovrjenac, produced by the international Midsummer Scene Festival.

This exchange is part of a long-standing friendship and collaboration between the City of Dubrovnik and Bad Homburg, which for over a decade has connected young people from Croatia and Germany through art, culture, and mutual understanding.

The partnership continues: new generations of young musicians will begin preparations this autumn for the next cycle of the program, which runs in parallel at the Dubrovnik Center for Children, Youth and Family and at the e-werk youth cultural center in Bad Homburg.
