James Webb telescope discovers its first exoplanet • FRANCE 24 English

this is TWWA7B or rather the void that confirms its presence on this image the space at the top right of the ring circled here indicates its location known as an exoplanet which relates to planets beyond our solar system it was found by a research team based in France
we found this uh this very light planet it is 10 times lighter than the planets that have been imaged so far uh so it makes it’s at about the same mass as Saturn in our solar system
the exoplanet is located 110 light years away with one lightyear corresponding to the distance that light travels in a year that’s over a thousand trillion kilometers from us it’s the first to have been found by the James Webb telescope since it was launched in 2021 and only 2% of exoplanets discovered in the past 30 years have been directly imaged as compared to other methods that rely on differences in light when passing in front of a star to confirm an exoplanet’s presence
i think we have just opened a new window in uh uh thanks to the incredible capacity of of J of James Web it’s very good good uh sensitivity so uh I think uh there will be uh several I hope and I think that there will be other planets like that in the in the future that will be imaged by James Web
twwa7b is around 6 million years old making it young compared to our solar system which was formed roughly 4 billion years ago

  3. I only wonder what's the youngest planet in the universe for no reason just now and search it on chatgpt,and it gave me info of this,and so I just found out this fresh news🤯🤯🤯

  4. It’s like an infant shaking a Rattle…aw bless. That’s where this tech is. It’s more of a sideshow at the moment with no great detail and hell of a lot of guessing for something that’s meant to be fact. Science…full of this…🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Hard to embrace any importance with planets that are this far away. Even if we could travel at the speed of light it would take 110 years.

  6. 110 light years away – to travel to our nearest star – 4.3 light years away – at the speed of a Voyager spacecraft – takes around 70,000 years! Even if you traveled at 50% the speed of light – a round trip to this planet would take over 220 years! Forget it!

  7. Focus on bringing out those technologies the government's keep hidden from the public, let humanity reap it's benefits and go where they want.
