When Ukraine held territory in Kursk, soldiers who fought there said they assumed the military was preparing strong defensive positions on Ukrainian side of the border. Instead, after a chaotic retreat from Kursk, they found outdated trenches with no overhead cover from drones, & no mine fields laid

  1. Quick – down vote before anyone sees.  Cannot be critical of Ukraine command

  2. Why would it be different? Fortifications is one of the best methods of corruption in current Ukraine, guess only second to giving exemptions from busifications. Being one of the most corrupted countries in the world, you can safely bet it’s going to happen everywhere. And no, nobody is going to be punished as they wasn’t for previous “fortifications”.

At least they definitely do not need those fortifications against donkeys and guys on crotches, so there is nothing to worry about, really.

  3. Old news. It is well known that Ukraine has not only been fighting against external threats, but has had to address internal issues (corruption, adherence to the ruzzian way of war, etc) as well. It has been a long, up hill slog, but progress is being made.

  4. Who was going to dig those fortifications?

The 30 year old Lviv police with manicured nails and polymer plates?

  5. This is all true, but this was known already a week after the fall.

  6. I have always wondered why the Ukrainians didn’t push harder on the left flank to get to the river and cut the Russians off…

  7. But they still stopped the comically inept Russians (even still holding some Kursk territory) and have so far inflicted more than a million casualties, destroyed more than ten thousand tanks and twenty-five thousand plus IFVs. So this is probably Russian misinformation.
