  1. News snippet: Ukrainian forces have stabilized the situation in Sumy Oblast and pushed the Russian army further away from Sumy, the region’s capital, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on June 30.

Moscow launched its new summer campaign in May, aiming to push deeper into Ukraine’s northeastern and eastern regions and disregarding Kyiv’s calls for an unconditional ceasefire.

Ukrainian troops advanced near the village of Oleksiivka, located less than 30 kilometers (18 miles) from the city of Sumy, and liberated the village of Andriivka, which had been captured by Russia in early June, the statement read.

In the meantime, Ukraine also stopped the Russian advance along the Yunakivka-Yablunivka-Novomykolayivka-Oleksiivka-Kindrativka line and the border with Russia near Kursk Oblast, according to the General Staff.

  2. Keep it up guys! Russian economy is on the verge of collapse, no way they can sustain this past 2027!

  3. They took back Andriivka and stalled what seems like a significant chunk of the Russian offensive…

    Crazy.

I think it’s just a waiting game for the west from here on out…just like in the late eighties.

  4. Russia was relying on human wave tactics to take land in Ukraine but Wagner, Donetsk conscripts, Islamic, third world, rural conscripts appear to have run out. Thus we have a slow moving trench war.

I wish Ukraine would copy Russia and actively conscript it’s prisoners, they have allowed some to join the army but have hesitated to go all-in like Russia has. I think that’s a mistake, Ukraine is still holding back here and they really shouldn’t be.

  5. Let’s go Ukraine!!! Fuck Putin and his war machine!!

  6. Further away? So they’re just giving them more space. Another tactical masterstroke, I’m sure.

  7. i dont see this as very relevant at all. ruZZians had maybe controlled 0.5% of sumy oblast and now they control 0.45% of it.
it’s truly not where this battle will be decisively influenced…
