Colruyt: is this allowed?

  1. Have different flavours cost different amounts? Or am I missing something?

  2. What is your question? Are they allowed to do what? Set prices??

  3. For those who don’t see the problem:

    – Price without discount is 0,65 €. (webshop, first image)
    – Price wednesday with discount is 0,65 €. (folder, calculated discount on 12 cans bought).

    Normally, I’d say no, not allowed. BUT: these are 2 different ‘shops’. First one is the webshop price and second one the folder price. Usually the webshop is more expensive…

    If you switch the pick-up location, there might even be different prices for different pick-up locations, although it’s the same item. Same goes in store.

    Example seen myself: wet wipes (boni), few years ago, think right before corona:

    * Landen: 1,29 €.
    * Sint-Truiden: 0,88 €
    * Hasselt: 0,75 €

    All Colruyts. Was looking for them but sold out in Landen en Sint Truiden. Was happy to find them in Hasselt. Really happy ’bout the price too.

    EDIT: You can call the number on this site (from FOD Economie) and ask the specialists if this is allowed: [https://consumerconnect.be/nl/contacteer-ons](https://consumerconnect.be/nl/contacteer-ons)

  4. Is the folder also set to sint-amandsberg?
    My local store (Keerbergen), which is the one set as my home store, has the current prices being
    0,865 for peach-hibiscus and 0.848 for black tea lemon, which seems to track as what is in your folder right now.

    So either there is a mismatch there or maybe a store near sint-amandsberg is doing a promotion and they have pricematched after the folder went in print or something?

    It’s worth asking them, everytime I think I’ve found something wrong they were able to explain it to me.

  5. The price of the webshop can sometimes even defer from the price of the actual store. I’ve seen them add a mark-up before on some products. I sent Colruyt a mail once to ask/complain why this was the case.

    Their reasoning is apparently that the online variant of a store (even with physical pick-up) is still a different store from the actual physical store.

    I stopped using the service because of this. That and literally every time the bread was not included because it was supposedly not in stock. But lo and behold, if you would then actually go look in the store: the bread was in stock…

  6. Ik heb ze er onlangs ook op betrapt, prijs optrekken van 1,49 naar 2,39 en er een “promo” op zetten 2 stuks aan 1,86 p/s

  7. Yep! we get screwed in every position and then they ask us to bend over 😡
