He has some interesting opinions that I agree with and others I vehemently disagree with. But Rotten has always said it with his chest. Doesn’t mince words. It doesn’t surprise me at all to know he was at least alluding to it in interviews. And sadly it doesn’t surprise me that those bits were edited out.
Well hardly, he mentioned their were rumours about it in a single line once amongst a joke about him supposed also sleeping with animals and puppets, and no one took it seriously.
Then moved on and had the rest of the interview on friendly terms.
Personally I’m don’t think that’s enough to give him any specific praise.
A genuinely stupid man. Jerry Sadowitz wasn’t afraid to tell the truth about Savile.
Lydon didn’t know shit. He just thought Savile was a weirdo – he didn’t have any actual evidence.
A stopped clock is usually correct once or twice per day (is it a 12 hour or 24 hour clock?).
<rant>it really fucks me off how i see tv shows and articles about saville, saying how he fooled a nation that loved and idolised him etc. He didn’t. He was universally described as a creep / perv by normal people. The only people who loved and idolised him were in the media, and they shoved him down our throats because they think they know whats best for us.</rant>
I recall Spitting Image did a sketch about him in the 80s being locked up in a mental hospital.
