Inspired by a scene from the protests in Turkey, Pikachu became one of the symbols of the Serbian protests as well.

  1. soon, we’ll have protests against protesters. double pikachu.

  2. turns out pikachu was a power-to-the-people activist but we just didn’t speak their language I guess

  3. Заслужујеш боље! Настави да се бориш за правду.

  4. Pokemon as a political statement was not on my 2025 bingo 😂

  5. Someone post the clip from Turkey where Pikachu was fucking booking it running away from the police.

  6. As if the local government wasn’t enough already now they’ll have Nintendo going for their asses!

  7. Between Pikachu and Luigi, somehow characters by Nintendo have become emblematic of resistance to oppression and injustice. Its very interesting because they are like the least political company ever and those characters are completely apolitical in their conception but they are iconic to the younger section of politically active populations. The characters are also ubiquitous so they are not traditional political signifiers like a flag or a coat of arms or some other symbol with explicit political connotations. Rather in daily life they can just be innocuous fandom, but they gain political significance in the right context.

  8. Bunch of assholes in masks protecting corrupt governments and beating the shit out of the people

  9. I support the protests but nintendo is a POS, racist, sexist and homophobic company made by boomers who share such values and may sue the shit out of you
