Jury reaches verdict on 4 of 5 counts in Diddy trial, judge indicates they’ll keep deliberating

1. >The jury in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial said Tuesday that it has reached a verdict on four of five counts against the hip-hop mogul and was unable to reach a decision on the top charge, racketeering conspiracy.

   >The judge indicated that he would instruct the jury to continue weighing the charge, echoing the sentiments of prosecutors and Combs’ defense team that just two days into deliberations was too soon to give up on reaching a verdict on all counts.

   >Judge Arun Subramanian said he received a note at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday indicated that the jury had reached a partial verdict. The note said the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on the racketeering conspiracy charge because there were jurors with “unpersuadable views” on both sides.

   >Subramanian didn’t appear keen on having jurors announce their partial verdict without first trying to decide the remaining count. He said that juries have a right to deliver a partial verdict, but indicated that’s more of a last resort and that given the short amount of time the panel has been deliberated, he’d rather give them more time and wait to have a full verdict.

2. This would seem to indicate they found him guilty on the four counts and are debating whether it rises to the level of racketeering, no?

3. He will be pardoned by TACO.

4. Spoilers for the uninitiated: He’s going in. It’s just a matter of how long.

   I still haven’t ruled out the possibility of Sean Combs hiring a squad of mercenaries to spring him from his transport. Either to or from court. I could see him spending top dollar to have someone organize an assault. I’m talking little assault dudes with machine guns, repelling from helicopters, the whole nine yards.

5. If they found him guilty of any of the other 4 counts, I don’t see how they could not also find him guilty of count 1.

   Maybe they only found him guilty of one count and they are under the impression that the count 1 has to include 2 crimes.

   Either way I’m glad the truth about him is out now because he is vile.

6. I was still waiting for the big list of names going down with him.. so the trial is over? How do you convict someone of these things but he had zero accomplices that will do time? That’s wacky.

7. He’ll be pardoned.

8. He’s going to prison for a long time, the only remaining question is does he get a life sentence.

9. Hey, kids! America: If you have enough money, you can just do whatever you want to anybody you want and get away with it.
