  1. I’m wondering if the plans should have had an arrow marked “up”.

  2. They went to Lego university to get their degrees.

It is India though, so their dad probably bought degrees for them.

  3. I like how they added a little bit of a rounded corner to the inside of the the right angle almost as an afterthought to smooth it out.

*There! That ought to do it!*

  4. since no one read the article. it was designed this way because they were not given land over the railroad to make a gentler curve.

  5. Leave these guys alone they clearly trained very hard playing sim city for a day 😀

  6. They learned engineering at the University of Cities Skylines.

  7. I mean, did literally no railway or municipality even take a look at the plans? And why did they do the bend any way, was the owner unable to purchase the real estate? I dunno, for it to get 90% through construction tells me it probably wasn’t just these guys at fault, but who knows.

  8. Nice! I’ve been missing the S-curve on Lake Shore Drive!

  9. They couldn’t find the RIGHT angle for the bridge.

  10. I don’t blame the workers. I blame the system that allowed them to even do this in the first place

  11. Malicious Compliance? I can well imagine the circumstances leading up to this. engineer:“we need more land” railway:“you can’t have more land so work it out” builder:”It’s what the plan says, we’ll get paid anyway, and maybe even twice”…

  12. Looked at the picture and thought to myself “that looks fine, totally walkable!”

    It’s not a food bridge.

  13. Don’t understand the issue.
Treat it as intersection. They can install a stop sign or traffic light.. hurray issue resolved.
All intersection are 90 degree turns.

  14. This is corruption/negligence at the municipal level too. How did this even break ground?

  15. I’m surprised it’s still standing. They do a lot of dodgy stuff in Bhopal.

  16. Looks like Quayside Dr rail overpass in New Westminster Bc, Canada

  17. This is corruption that goes right up to the top, and this isn’t the only such example of something like this happening in the country. I read yesterday that a $10mn road was developed without the trees IN THE MIDDLE of the highway getting chopped off. You have to see the photos to believe what I’m talking about.

  18. This looks like a Daily Onion article about what happens when ALL the project managers and engineers on a project bought their degrees and licenses.
