Finnish defence firm Patria has signed an agreement to divest its 60% shareholding in Milworks OU to Estonia’s Mootor Group. The move aligns with Patria’s strategy to consolidate its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations in the Baltic region at its expanding facility in Valmiera, Latvia.
Upon completion of the transaction, Mootor Group, which currently holds a 40% minority stake in Milworks, will become the company’s sole owner. The financial details of the agreement remain confidential, as both parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price.
“Patria remains committed to serving the Estonian and more widely the entire Baltic defence market including Lithuania, leveraging our enlarged operations in Latvia,” said Pekka Ruutu, Executive Vice President, Sustainment Solutions at Patria. “In parallel, Milworks is well positioned for further development under Mootor Group’s full ownership,” he added.
Milworks provides MRO services for armoured and soft skin vehicles, along with other military equipment. The company currently employs 15 staff members across its sites in Tapa and Voru, Estonia.
The transaction is scheduled to be completed on 31 July 2025.
