What Orbán’s been doing the past years is honestly unbelievable—corruption, lies, theft, and now this level of ridiculous propaganda with videos, billboards, and memes that are so bad they’re almost funny. What’s even sadder is that so many people (especially the older generation) still believe him and follow him blindly. Hungary desperately needs serious change to get back on its feet. It won’t be easy, but Péter could be the one to finally make that happen. Áradjon a TISZA!

    Spreading hate and fear is the way to convince uneducated, rural and old people.

    I’ve seen worse in the past 15 years. Honestly this one is not even in the top 5.

  10. I visited my relatives over the weekend. It really surprised me that the only thing you see and hear in the news is just propaganda, which people over 45 simply parrot back. It’s really sad.

  11. Goebbels style propaganda right there – seems politics is a nightmare at the moment. Globally, democracy is losing, Europe is maybe the last bastion.

  15. My grandma was Hungarian, and my grandpa was partially too. So I guess I can be called a Hungarian Ukrainian.

    Yet I have no words to express how disgusted I am by what happened to Hungary over the past 5 or so years. To the point I don’t want to have anything in common with my “second home.” And I know for the fact, I’m not the only Hungarian Ukrainian who thinks so.

    Good job, Hungarians, good job.

  22. How does this even work? If the government (media) in Finland started spewing out garbage like this with an opposition politician whom I did not like, this would instantly make me like him. Like, oh fuck you then, I’ll vote for that dick out of spite then.

    Although the comparison doesn’t really work, because there is no such “government media” in Finland. I mean there is a government funded media, but it’s independent and does not take any direction from the government. But if somehow our government took ownership of YLE and started using it as a mouthpiece, it would only make me take the opposite stance. This kind of trash talk propaganda is so childish and would make me rebel. In the same vein, if the political parties which I support started spending their energy on childish hate campaigns, I would not longer support them. It’ just so juvenile. EVIL POLITICIAN X WANTS TO RUIN YOUR LIFE!! Oh fuck off.

  29. I doubt this will help Orban. Childish insults and mockery works if you’re already popular and your opponent is unpopular. Doing stuff like this makes people sympathetic towards the person you’re insulting.

  31. These propaganda videos are so unrespectable pandering it makes me sick. Like you wanna persue a 4 year old that XYZ is bad, because daddy sad so. Makes your bloodboil.

    Still, it manages to convince the majority of the voters….this is the saddest part.
