9. Can he do that? Deporting (il)legal immigrants is one thing, but deporting American citizens would be impossible seeing as they’re Americans. And where would they be sent to? Where their ancestors came from? Most Americans are descended from people who came to America from somewhere else. Even Trump is descended from people who came to America from somewhere else. It’s not going to work.

    There is a big, ugly profit motive here if he’s willing to go beyond a privatized detention system. The privatized concentration camps would get huge government contracts to warehouse the people and the government will look to exploit them. Don’t put it past this administration and its corporate cronies. They’d all be invested in all of this. A Trump issued cryptocurrency would be the perfect avenue to keep the specifics of these transactions under the table and as for the private prisons, that buying and selling of stock would happen right out in the open.

19. I said this the other day.

    With the different rulings, like deportations of people going to different country’s regardless of what citizenship they have. I’m seeing a correlation that they will deport US Citizens. They have already deported immigrants to different countries they don’t belong to and have overturned legal status of individuals. My thoughts are that they might going to start with the homeless, the Supreme Court case of City of Grants Pass v. Johnson, ruled that cities can enforce bans on homeless people sleeping outdoors, even when shelter space is limited.
    If they broke the law, now they can send them away. I think this is how they are going to test if they can deport US born citizens (homeless people most don’t care about).
