  10. Impossible to know just how effective it will be, but the Border Security, Asylum, and Immigration Bill is due for its final reading on 10th July. Hopefully, this bill passing will lead to greater powers given to our border defences. That’s what it’s “supposed” to do, at least.

  11. This isnt just a Labour issue and was also an issue during the Conservatives time in power. Electing Farage won’t solve things either as international law means that there is an obligation to respond so if he comes in he will again fail. If we try to go against international law our own courts will just rule it an illegal act and hold people to account.

    The reality is that France doesn’t want them either and there is no benefit to them as a country to stop them. The root cause isn’t any government in the UK (they would all be impotent to stop it) and sits more with the EU not cracking down on points of entry and allowing migrants to continue their journeys and unless that is addressed correctly it won’t ever change unless the country goes to even more shit so that people want to leave more than they do now.

  18. Has the terminology changed recently? It used to be refugees now it’s migrants and from those pictures working age male migrants.
